Chicken Burger Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Patties:

  • 500g ground chicken
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

For the Burger Assembly:

  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.)

Instructions:

Making the Chicken Patties:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
  5. Remove from heat and let the patties rest for a few minutes.

Assembling the Burgers:

  1. Toast the burger buns lightly on a skillet or grill.
  2. Spread your desired condiments on the bottom half of each bun.
  3. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a chicken patty.
  4. Add a slice of cheese (if using), tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles.
  5. Spread more condiments on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the assembled burger.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like fries or a salad.
