Chicken Burger Recipe
Ingredients:
For the Chicken Patties:
- 500g ground chicken
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)
For the Burger Assembly:
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
- Pickles
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Condiments (mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, etc.)
Instructions:
Making the Chicken Patties:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley, paprika, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the mixture. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from heat and let the patties rest for a few minutes.
Assembling the Burgers:
- Toast the burger buns lightly on a skillet or grill.
- Spread your desired condiments on the bottom half of each bun.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by a chicken patty.
- Add a slice of cheese (if using), tomato slices, onion slices, and pickles.
- Spread more condiments on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the assembled burger.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides, like fries or a salad.
